Those interested in a Caribbean holiday this fall or winter will be happy to know that the natural paradise of Saint Kitts and Nevis has ended all COVID-related entry requirements as of mid-August.

This shift is a notable change for the island destination, as previously, unvaccinated visitors were barred from entry to Saint Kitts and Nevis. Even those who were fully vaccinated for COVID-19 were still required to present proof of vaccination through August 15.

As of now, these restrictions have ended. Saint Kitts and Nevis is open to tourists regardless of vaccination status, with no proof required.

However, one requirement does remain in order to travel to Saint Kitts and Nevis. International visitors must fill out and submit the country’s official Online Immigration and Customs Form. This must be done prior to travel, as you’ll have to present your receipt that it has been completed upon arrival at the airport in Saint Kitts and Nevis. You will need a valid email address in order to complete the form, as this is where your receipt will be sent to.

Does Saint Kitts and Nevis Require Travel Insurance?

Currently, there is no international insurance requirement to travel to Saint Kitts and Nevis, but would-be travelers should keep some things in mind before deciding to forego coverage.

In addition to COVID-19 still posing a risk, visitors to Saint Kitts and Nevis can be at greater risk of contracting an insect-borne or water-borne disease. In serious circumstances, professional medical attention could be necessary, and your domestic health insurance is unlikely to be accepted or provide sufficient coverage. The smart plan is to have travel medical insurance coverage. This way, you can get the treatment you need with a predictable bill.
